Make the most of your visit to Cornwall by using the services of a qualified Cornish Blue Badge Guide, based in Falmouth, and discover the Cornwall that the locals know.
With Antiquities and Art, Bal maidens and Beaches, Castles and China Clay, Dialect and Dries, Eccentrics and Explorers, Feast Days and Folklore, Gardens and Giants, Holy Wells and Hurling, Invasions and Inventors, Jam & Cream and Jamaica Inn, King Arthur and Knockers, Legends and Lighthouses, Mermaids and Miners, Narrow lanes, Obby Oss and Opes, Pasties and Pirates, Quoits, Radium and Rivers, Saints and Smugglers, Towans and Traditions, Ulex Europaeus and Underground mining, Villages and Vanning, Windswept moors and Wooded valleys, X Rays and Xanthoria, Yarg and Zinc, Cornwall is a very special place and I hope to give you an insight into what makes it that way. The clean air, the spectacular scenery, the people, the myths, legends and history all combine to give it a unique quality.
I am a member of the Guild of Registered Tourist Guides, the Institute of Tourist Guiding, the Association of West Country Tourist Guides, Cornwall Family History Society and the London Cornish Association.
If you are a group travel organiser, tour operator, social secretary or coach driver, you may be interested to note that I offer the following services for groups, taking in all aspects of Cornwall and Cornish heritage from art and literature to industrial heritage; from coast to moor; from churches and churchyards to houses and gardens; and from busy town to tranquil hamlet.
I offer guided town walks of Truro, Falmouth, Helston, Redruth and Penryn for groups and should be pleased to quote you a price. These walks are popular with local groups as well as visiting groups and usually last for around an hour and a half although can be designed to suit the time available to you. As they are at a leisurely pace they are suitable for most people although I would need advance warning if anyone was sufficiently mobility impaired that they could not manage steps or steep hills so that I could alter the route accordingly. Please be aware however that as our streets and pavements are narrow, I am only prepared to guide a maximum of 15 people per walk. I can arrange for another guide to join us if the group is large and we can then split the group between us for safety's sake, or one half of the group can occupy themselves elsewhere for the duration of the walk and we could then swop (for example in Falmouth, part of the group could visit the Maritime Museum whilst the other part walked, and we could then swap). E-mail me.

You can't beat local knowledge!! Why just look out of the window and wonder when you could be entertained and informed by a Blue Badge Guide. I am available for a minimum of a half day (four hours) and can offer a"hop on, hop off" service (ie for a particular section of your route) or accompany you on a full tour. All I ask is that there is a microphone and a courier seat (or an available front seat and a long microphone cable!!). I should be pleased to quote you a price, so get in touch!! E-mail me.

TALKS, SLIDESHOWS AND QUIZZES
I offer a variety of talks and slideshows (Armchair Tours) and local knowledge quizzes both for local organisations (Probus Clubs, Womens' Institutes, Church groups, etc) and to hotel guests either as a one off, or on a regular basis (which sometimes makes an interesting change from music and dancing). I keep it light and fun - it's not meant to be a lecture. From £40 per evening plus travelling expenses if in excess of 10 miles. E-mail me.
So don't lose valuable time reading maps and guide books - let me do all the planning and you can enjoy Cornwall in the company of a professional guide.
For further details, or to discuss your requirements, please e-mail me. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you to make your visit to Cornwall one to remember.
